The 2000 SPORT SE 010, also known as the “Quattro Fari” (Four Headlights), was produced in 25 units to meet homologation requirements for the sports category. Due to high demand from drivers, a second series of 25 additional units was planned, although this number was never fully reached.
The 2000 SE 010 immediately proved its potential in competition, achieving numerous victories and significant placements from its very first races.
This 1968 example was originally owned by the Brescia Corse racing team and featured its distinctive red livery.
Among its most important achievements:
1st place at Zeltweg in 1970
1st place at Bolzano Mendola
1st place at the Alcamo Hill Climb in Trapani
Many other competitions and notable successes followed, mostly achieved by Pam, Luigi Moreschi, and Gi-Bi.
After its successful racing career on both circuits and hill climbs, this car gained even greater fame when it was chosen by Cesare Fiorio in 1971 and entrusted to Sandro Munari for the final round of the European Rally Championship, the Tour de Belgique.
The car immediately outpaced the competition, winning the first five special stages. However, due to heavy rain, a mechanical failure forced it to retire from the rally.
Recently, the car has undergone a careful conservative restoration, preserving the iconic “Tour de Belgique” livery that makes its history truly unique.
The mechanical restoration was carried out by Moreschi himself, the very driver who raced with this car.
After its restoration, the car participated in the 2018 Villa d’Este Concours d’Elegance, where it was praised by the jury as one of the finest cars in the event.
