1968 ABARTH 2000 SPORT TIPO SE 010

The 2000 SPORT SE 010, also known as "four headlights" was put into production in 25 examples for the homologation in the category sports. Following the considerable demand of the pilots, it was decided to produce a second series of another 25 examples, although this number was not reached.
The 2000 SE 010 was immediately on display from the first competitions, showing its potential with numerous victories and important placements.

This 1968 model was born as the first owner under the "Brescia Corse" team with the typical red livery.
Among the most important results are the 1st place in Zeltweg in 1970, 1st place at Bolzano Mendola, 1st place at Alcamo di trapani
Obviously there are many other competitions with important results and successes, mostly won by the pilots "Pam", Luigi Moreschi and Gi-Bi

This car after the various successes on track and climb, lived a second life and its moment of great fame thanks to Cesare Fiorio who chose it in '71 entrusting it to Sandro Munari to face the last race of the European rally championship, or the "Tour de Belgique".
The car quickly proved to be a step ahead of the competition, winning the first five special tests. Then, following heavy rain, a mechanical failure forced the car to withdraw from the rally.

The car has recently been conservatively restored, maintaining the iconic "Tour of Belgium" livery that made this car’s story truly unique.
The mechanical part also totally restored, was followed by Moreschi, the same who ran with this car
After the restoration, the car participated in the Villa d'Este’s Elegance Competition in 2018, being acclaimed by the jury as one of the best cars in the competition
